A very clever boy. The only mystery is why he is called Red:)

Spuds McKensie without the spot on his face! I have always liked the breed, but I was told they were hard to train and very stubborn as a breed on the whole.

@ 598 - When you point a finger at some other dog, how many fingers are there pointing right back atcha-self?

"Bark" magazine had a great article, a while back. It was all about what a mistake it is to try and categorize certain traits and/or behavior as being specific to certain breeds of dog.

That said, I can tell by this photo that this dog is a happy, obedient and wonderfully companionable friend.

Whenever I forgot the breed name, I just said "It's a Patton-dog!" He's gorgeous; they're such cool dogs. thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all the comments. we are proud to say that Red is our dog. He is named after a red-headed business partner of mine. A lot of the comments are very true - he is difficult to train, he is stubborn and strong and he has lots of personality. No, he is not obedient. He also likes to sit in very strange configurations for a dog, as you can see. There is nothing subtle about Red. Everything he does comes with an exclamation point at the end. Red loves clowning around and loves children.
