DETAILS:

On 8-9-12, at 1901 hours, officers responded to the intersection of Hull and "M" Street re: an injury accident. A vehicle travelling at a slow rate of speed struck a five-year old pedestrian causing significant, but non-life-threatening injuries. The child was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the involved vehicle was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

An investigation is continuing.
