Stabbing

Incident: Stabbing

Location: Possibly the Montalvo Area

Date/Time Occurred: 03/12/17 @ 1956 hrs

Officer(s) Involved: Ventura PD Patrol

Suspect(s): Unknown

Victim(s): Male Adult, 25 years Report #: 17-3400

Narrative:

On the above date and time, the Ventura Police Department Command Center received numerous 911 calls reporting several subjects physically fighting with knives in the area of Peacock Ave. and Bristol Rd. Prior to officers arriving on scene, callers reported the involved parties were fleeing the area on foot. Officers were unable to locate any of the involved parties when they arrived on scene.

At approximately 2016 hrs, a 25-year-old adult male arrived at Community Memorial Hospital with a serious stab wound to his upper torso. Due to the seriousness of his injury, the victim was immediately transported to the trauma center at the Ventura County Medical Center. He is expected to survive.

This is an active investigation. It has not been confirmed the incidents are related. Officers are still on scene trying to determine the sequence of events that lead to this crime. No additional information is available at this time.
