Public invited to join in Ventura City Hall Centennial celebration
In celebration of the 100-year anniversary of the beautiful and historic San Buenaventura City Hall building at 501 Poli Street (originally built as the Ventura County Courthouse), the public is invited to take
part in the centennial's many commemorative festivities.
Ventura's 4th of July Street Fair continues its proud 38-year-old tradition on Thursday, July 4, from 10 am to 5 pm in Ventura's Downtown Cultural District. The Independence Day event regularly draws
30,000 residents and visitors in a showcase of handmade arts and crafts by more than 300 artisans along 9 blocks of Main Street from Fir Street to Mission Park, plus environmental displays, children's
activities, savory foods from booths sponsored by local organizations and businesses and many stages of live entertainment. Information online at www.cityofventura.net/streetfairs
July 4 & 25 Ventura City Hall Tours, 11am-4pm: Enjoy historic exhibits, plus free art, architecture and ghost tours about the building and its Municipal Art Collection (MAC). Receive a special commemorative

July 15-19 Summer Art Camp, 9am-12pm: Students age 9-14 years create artworks inspired by City Hall's architecture and art with Focus on the Masters, meet MAC artists and study various art forms in the
