Vehicle Burglary

Location: Harbor Blvd near Sanjon Rd

Date/Time Occurred: 2-27-13 @ 0108 hours

Suspect(s): Terry Wysel, 42 yrs, Ventura Vagrant

On the above date and time, an alert Ventura Police officer was driving in the area of Harbor Blvd and Sanjon Rd. The officer noticed a vehicle parked to the side of the road with no lights on and appeared to be abandoned.

As the officer pulled behind the vehicle and used his lights to illuminate the vehicle, the suspect (Wysel) jumped out of the vehicle dressed in dark clothing. The officer proceeded to ask Wysel questions and was able to determine that Wysel was not being truthful with his answers. The officer continued his investigation and learned that Wysel had broken into the vehicle and was in the process of stealing property out of the vehicle.

Wysel was arrested for committing the vehicle burglary and booked into the Ventura County jail. No one was injured and the owner of the vehicle recovered his property.
