On the above date and time, the Ventura Police Department Command Center received a call

in the parking lot of the Mission Bell Motel in the 3200 Block of Main St. Officers responded to
the area and confirmed the vehicle was in fact at the location.
While officers were watching the vehicle, Chavez (driver) and a 15-year-old male juvenile were
seen getting into the vehicle and driving away from the parking lot.

After being treated at VCMC for minor injuries suffered during the vehicle accident, Chavez
was arrested and booked into the Ventura County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, hit
