People v. Jose Raya-Hernandez
updated: Feb 19, 2013, 4:09 PM
Source: Santa Barbara District Attorney
Santa Barbara County District Attorney Joyce E. Dudley announced today that Jose Raya-Hernandez,
age 42, was sentenced to a total term of 158 years to life for committing nine acts of child molestation
on three victims in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. This sentence follows a jury's verdict of guilt
on nine counts of child molestation and a multiple victim enhancement.
The crimes were solved though the joint efforts of the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department and
the Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office. Additionally, the Ventura County District
Attorney's Office cooperated in allowing for venue for the crimes that occurred in the City of Ventura to
be prosecuted in the County of Santa Barbara.
In reaction to this sentence, Prosecuting Deputy District Attorney Benjamin Ladinig stated, "Without the
bravery of the three young ladies who heroically testified against a family member, the defendant would
have never been brought to justice. The verdict and sentence is a testament to the victims in this case,
as well as other victims of child molestation."

Yea really he will probably only live another 40 years or so, so for another 118 years while his bones sit in that cell someone will have to show up everyonce in a while to dust the old bones off and the taxpayers will be footing the bill.. NOTE: See Deletion Rule #3a

Uncle JeBro let out 377 convicted murderers this week. He completely expunged the records of dozens. Chester isn't going to die of old age in prison. I wonder how much time he'll actually spend in state custody.

Lets see, he is 42 now so in this lifetime he'll work off ~40 of those years. Which means he has at least 1 1/2 more lifetimes to go. Reincarnation sucks in his case. LOL...

Making a reprehensible crime even worse yet, the victims were his niece and two daughters. KEYT reported he molested his daughters "hundreds" of time of nearly 10 years. There isn't a hell hot enough for excrement like him.

Prison inmates consider child-molesters the lowest of the low. And if those crimes are against a child, the disdain increases a hundred-fold. He'll have a very bad time in prison.
