Narrative:
On the above date and time the Ventura Police Command Center received a call of an injury
hit and run accident involving a vehicle verses pedestrian. Prior to officers arrival additional
information was given to the command center that two subjects in a white truck, just stole
aluminum cans from the victim (name withheld, 82 yrs, Female, Ventura resident) and that the
truck hit a fire hydrant as it fled the scene.
As officers arrived on scene, they contacted the victim and learned that she was not hit by the
truck, but was pushed down to the ground by one of the suspects during the attack. The victim
suffering major injuries as a result of the attack and was transported to VCMC for medical
treatment. Officers also determine that truck did not hit the fire hydrant as it left the scene.
After the victim was on the ground one of the suspects took the bags of aluminum cans and
placed them in the back of the truck. The suspects left the scene and were last seen leaving
the parking lot towards Petit Ave. The investigation into this incident is ongoing. Anyone with
