Stabbing Attempted Robbery

Incident: Stabbing, Attempt Robbery

Location: 2800 block E. Main St Ventura

Date/Time Occurred: 2-10-13 / 1848 hours

Officer(s) Involved: Ventura Patrol officers

Suspect(s): Unk Hispanic Male, 20-30's, with black hooded sweatshirt

Report #: 13-1711

Narrative:

On the above date and time the victim was walking in the area of the 2800 block of E. Main St, when he was approached by the suspect. The suspect demanded money from the victim, however the victim refused to give any.

The suspect then pushed the victim causing him to fall to down to the ground. The victim tackled the suspect and the two fought on the ground. During the fight, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to CMH to be treated. The victim was released a short time later.

At this time the investigation into this incident is ongoing. Anyone with information related to this incident is urged to call the Ventura Police Department at 339-4441
