Narrative:
On the above date and time a Ventura Police officer was driving N/B on Victoria, when he saw
the suspect, Romero running in a full sprint across Victoria directly in front of his patrol car.
The suspect was holding a 30 pack of beer as he was running. Once across the street the
suspect continued to run away at a full sprint.
The officer made a U-turn and was able to catch up to the suspect. During the subsequent
stop and through the course of the investigation it was determined that Romero went into the
CVS, taking the beer and exited without paying. Romero was identified by store employees
and was arrested for Commercial Burglary.
No one was injured during the arrest and Romero was booked into the Ventura County Jail.
