Narrative:
On December 26th 2012, at approximately 0530 hrs, the victim was in his vehicle
stopped for a traffic signal in the area of California Street and Thompson Blvd.
Another vehicle pulled up next to him and the driver brandished a semi automatic
handgun at him. The victim called the Ventura Police Department Command Center
and Ventura Police Patrol Officers responded to the area but were unable to
locate the suspect.
Ventura Police Detectives were able to identify the suspect in the above
incident as Andrew Hasting. On 01/30/2013 at approximately 0700 Hrs., Ventura
Police Detectives served a search warrant at Hasting's residence. Hasting was
taken into custody at that time and evidence related to the crime was found at
the location. Hasting was booked into Ventura County Jail in reference to 417.3
PC, Brandishing a Firearm at a Vehicle on a Highway.
