Narrative:
Ventura City Fire units responded to a report of a vehicle into a structure. Upon arrival of the first-in
engine, it was discovered that a pesticide truck had struck an occupied home. The driver and all
residents inside the home denied injuries and declined treatment and ambulance transportation.
Firefighters trained in structural stabilization were utilized to assess the integrity of the building; it was
determined that the occupants could re- occupy the home. The vehicle was assessed for hazards
including the integrity of the pesticide containers stored inside. There were no leaks or spills involved in
this incident.
The Ventura Building and Safety Department was notified of this incident. Ventura Police were on scene
conducting an investigation.
