Over the past few months, Sheriff's Ojai Patrol Deputies and Narcotics
Investigators have received a steady stream of information of criminal activity
surrounding a residence in the 4100 block of North Ventura Ave, in the
unincorporated county area north of the City of Ventura. Patrol deputies had
received several calls describing drug use, fights, and other incidents that
disturbed the public peace.
On 1-25-2013, at about 0800 hours, Narcotics Detectives executed a search
warrant at the residence and contacted Tina Rogers and Anthony Maxwell.
Subsequent to this investigation, it was determined Rogers was selling heroin
and methamphetamine from her residence. Detectives located approximately 2 grams
of heroin, syringes filled with heroin, and approximately 1.5 grams of
methamphetamine. Numerous used syringes, narcotics and other paraphernalia were
found in Rogers' bedroom that she shares with her nine year old child.
Rogers was arrested for possession of heroin and methamphetamine for sale, under
the influence of a controlled substance, and felony child endangerment. Maxwell
was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance. Both were
booked into the Sheriff's Main Jail.
The child was released to the Ventura County Child and Family Services.
