Incident: Indecent Exposure Arrest

Narrative:

On the above date and time, the Ventura Police Command Center received a call of a subject engaging in lewd acts near Fresh and Easy in the 2200 block of Thompson Blvd. Officers responded to the call and located Vandervurg loitering approximately one block away from the business.

During the investigation, officers learned that Vandervurg was witnessed by employees, and a customer, of Fresh and Easy involved in a lewd act in the parking lot outside of the store.

After he was positively identified, Vandervurg was arrested and later booked into the Ventura County Jail for lewd acts in public.

Over the past several weeks, Vandervurg has been witnessed at several businesses throughout the city, particularly local coffee shops, engaging in similar acts of lewd conduct. The Ventura Police Department is asking the public, if they recognize Vandervurg (see attached photo) and were possibly a victim of indecent exposure by Vandervurg, to please call the Ventura Police Department at 339-4441.
