Location: 400 Block West Ramona Street.

Date/Time Occurred: 01/26/2012 @ 2040 Hrs.

Victim: Juan Garay,26 yrs, Ventura Resident

Narrative:

On the above date and time, the Ventura Police Department Command Center received several calls in reference to gunshots heard in the 400 block of West Ramona Street.

As VPD Patrol Officers were en route to the area, a witness observed the victim getting into a vehicle and leaving the scene.

Responding VPD Patrol Officers located the vehicle and contacted the victim who was determined to have a gunshot wound to his leg. The Victim was transported to the Ventura County Medical Center and is in stable condition.

The circumstances that led to the shooting are unknown at this time.
