Calypso

This spring it will be 16 years since we picked out this little gray and white fluffball from a litter of barn
cats on a farm. Calypso loves snacks and snuggling under the covers on cold nights. He has ridden on an
airplane, lived with German Shepherds, moved with his humans seven times, and been chased inside by an
angry little bird. He seems to be loving his retirement in Santa Barbara, with plenty of naps in the sunshine.

My cat was not born retired - though you would think so these days. She was quite a mouse and gopher huntress, as well as catching hummingbirds in mid-flight (yes, sadly, it's true). Nowadays, she has arthritis in a rebuilt front leg, and she likes to lay on my pillow all day if she can pull it off. She's 14 now, and I expect to still have her for a few more years. But she has done her share of work around the house and yard, and she will still rush out to chase off the neighbor cats from our yard. Your Calypso is just lovely!
