Narrative:

On 1/22/13 at approximately 0604 hours, the Ventura Police Command Center received a call of a robbery that had just occurred in the 700 Block of N. Ventura Ave. When officer's arrived, they determined that the suspect entered the business and handed the clerk a note demanding money. The clerk then handed the note back to the suspect and did not comply with his demands. The suspect then walked out of the store with no money and left the area.

About twenty minutes later, While Officer's were investigating this incident, the Ventura Police Command Center received a call of an additional robbery in the 800 Block of E. Thompson Blvd. Upon arrival, Officer's determined that the suspect entered the business, then went behind the counter and brandished a knife at the clerk, demanding money. The clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect left the area in an unknown direction.

Ventura Police Detectives are investigating these crimes and based on the description of the suspect, they believe they are related.
