On the above date and time, the Ventura Police Command Center received a call that Kristine
Lambert had threatened a neighbor. Lambert was armed with a knife and threatened to kill the
victim/neighbor. The victim was able to lock them self in their house to avoid injury. Lambert
eventually left and went to her nearby home.
Officers responded and attempted to talk to Lambert. Lambert refused to come to the door and would
not communicate with the officers.
Based on the positive identification of Lambert and the information from the victim, officers
were able to obtain a search warrant for Lambert's residence. While the search warrant was
being written by officers and eventually signed by a Superior Court Judge, additional officers
maintained a watch of Lambert's House to make sure she did not flee.
At about 1230 AM, officers executed the search warrant on the residence to locate Lambert
and any evidence of the crimes committed. Lambert had barricaded herself in a rear
bathroom. Officer's forced entry into the bathroom, Lambert was armed with a knife when
officers were making entry. Officers were able to deploy a taser to subdue Lambert. The use
of the taser was effective and officers were able to arrest Lambert without further incident.
The knife used in the Assault with a Deadly Weapon was recovered as evidence.
Lambert was transported to VCMC for treatment and observation after the taser activation.
She was released with no injuries and booked into the Ventura County Jail for the above
This incident lasted several hours from beginning to completion and required extensive use of
patrol resources in an effort to ensure proper investigation and safety to all involved.
