Cause: Unattended Warming/Cooking Fire

Injuries: None Reported

Agencies Involved: Ventura City and County Fire Department

Narrative: Ventura City Fire Department responded with Ventura County Fire Department to a reported river bottom fire. Upon arrival of the first engine, firefighters discovered an encampment with a warming fire that had spread from the intended containment area to an approximate 400 square foot area. Firefighters immediately initiated an attack on the fire. Firefighters were able to stop the forward spread, completely extinguish the flames and mop-up the burn area. There were no reported injuries on this incident.
