Narrative: Ventura City Fire personnel responded to a report of a barranca fire on Chipmunk Circle. Upon arrival, first arriving units found a 50' x 50' fire in the barranca extending into the eucalyptus trees and threatening nearby structures.
Firefighters made an aggressive attack and protected the structures.
In addition, firefighters had to extinguish embers that had fallen onto a nearby two-story structure. The cause and origin of the fire are under investigation. No injuries were reported.
