JalapeƱos, Tomatillos, Limes, and Serranos were all on sale; who wouldn't make up a 4-pound batch of salsa/sauce?!

It was in the 20's in some areas last night, and 30's this morning. That's cold for SB, and it's a reasonable Flash Friday request.

I hope the device in the first picture isn't some kind of heater covered with clothing etc... good way to start a fire.

The nation weather shows that Michigan is warmer that us, and they have snow on the ground.

I slept on the couch, in the room I'd heated, with my kitty, who slept on my chest for the first time. Nice. Love the pet and fireplace pics. I was wearing Uggs and socks and sweaters and a lap blanket. So far, my electric bill is under $50; probably won't be for January.

I also live in Portland and on my frosty 34 degree walk there was a fellow walker who, and I'm not kidding, was wearing nothing but a t-shirt, shorts and (ironic) sweatband - and I saw more than one walker in shorts - classic crazy Oregonians. I find it cute how bundled up Californians get when it dips under 60 (and I've become one of them).

755 - I'm totally with you. I grew up back east and I distinctly remember once the temperatures hit 55-60 we would beg to be allowed to wear shorts and t-shirts to school! Now, 55 hits and I'm looking for my scarf and cozy slippers. I've totally become a wuss! :)
