Narrative:
On 1-4-13, the Camarillo Special Enforcement Detail (SED) investigators arrested a suspect whom they
believe is responsible for two recent robberies that occurred in the city of Camarillo.
During the first incident that occurred on 12-7-12, a female was robbed of her purse and cellular phone
while in Valle Lindo Park. The suspect attempted to rob a second victim as well, but was unsuccessful.
The suspect used an electric drill to simulate a handgun in this case.
The second robbery occurred on 1-3-13 outside the Ralph's grocery store located in the Las Posas
Plaza. During this incident, the suspect accosted a store employee who was taking a break outside the
store. The suspect pushed the victim down and stole the victim's cellular phone.
The investigation led detectives to the suspect who was taken into custody near his residence after a
short surveillance. Both the victim's phones, as well as other evidence, were recovered by sheriff's
investigators.
