Narrative: On the above date and time the Ventura City Fire Department responded to a report of a
person floating in the water on the south side of the Ventura Pier. The first arriving Engine Company
confirmed a body was indeed floating in the aforementioned location. Ventura Harbor Patrol Officers
arrived in a rescue boat and removed the victim from the water in coordination with Firefighters on the
Pier. The victim was transported by boat with CPR in progress back to the Ventura Harbor where
Advanced Life Support was begun by waiting Firefighters. The Victim was transported to Ventura
County Medical Center in critical condition. Investigation of this incident is ongoing by the Ventura
Police Department.
