Vehicle Fire

Ventura City Fire units responded to a reported vehicle fire on SB 101 @ the W. Main St. bridge. While enroute, multiple additional calls were received. Upon
arrival of the first-in engine, a vehicle with fire fully involved in the engine and passenger
compartments was discovered. Firefighters quickly deployed a hoseline on the fire and were
able to knock the fire down. The first engine handled this and returned the additional dispatched
engine back to service. Firefighters continued extinguishment and abated hazards. The fire
cause is undetermined and no injuries were reported on this incident. Ventura City Fire units
cleared and left the scene in care of CHP.
