Narrative:
On the above date and time, Officers saw a recently reported stolen vehicle parked in the
1200 block of Winford. Minutes later they saw the vehicle moving south on Winford toward
Wellington.
As officers were getting into position to initiate a traffic stop, the vehicle abruptly pulled into a
driveway to a residence in the 1600 block of Nevin. The driver got out of the car and fled on
foot. Officers gave chase, however weren't able to initially catch the suspect.
After a perimeter was established, officers used a K-9 to track the scent of the suspect.
Officers went yard to yard, and after about 45 minutes, eventually found the suspect hiding in a
shed in the backyard of a residence on Neath near Radnor. After a brief struggle, the suspect
was taken into custody with the assistance of the police K-9.
The suspect was identified as 32-year-old Ventura resident Travis Threadgill. Threadgill was
medically cleared, then booked at Ventura County Jail for 10851 VC - Auto Theft, 148 PC -
Resisting Arrest, and 3056 PC - Violation of Parole.
