Narrative:

The Ventura Police Department is currently investigating a takeover robbery that occurred on 12-7-12 at about 0340 hrs.

A single male suspect, wearing a mask, entered the Players Club Casino armed with a rifle. The suspect ordered all the patrons and employees onto the ground and made his way to the cashier cage. The suspect demanded money from the cashier while holding the patrons and employees at gunpoint.

The cashier complied with the suspect's demands and gave him an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. The suspect fled on foot out the front doors.

Investigators have been interviewing numerous patrons, employees, and collecting forensic evidence from the scene. No one was injured during the commission of the robbery.
