Narrative:

On the above date and time, the Ventura Police Command Center received a 911 call from a resident in the 1900 block of Wolverton Street who was reporting a residential burglary in progress. The victim indicated he had been home in his restroom when he heard his dog barking within his residence. The victim went to investigate and observed the suspect force the door open to the bedroom and attempt to enter the room. The suspect immediately ran when the victim yelled at him. The victim last saw the suspect fleeing the residence on foot.

Officers arrived on scene a short while later and canvassed the surrounding area, however the suspect was not located.

Officers later learned the suspect had entered the residence through an open rear door. The victim was not injured during this crime.
