Oxnard Traffic Advisory:

Rice Avenue at Fifth Street

Three southbound lanes of Rice Avenue north of Fifth Street will be closed from noon today (12/6/2012) until approximately 4:00 p.m. to facilitate emergency repairs at the intersection. Southbound traffic will be allowed through the intersection but will be funneled into one lane. Motorists traveling southbound on Rice Avenue during the closure times are advised to utilize Del Norte Avenue to the East and Rose Avenue to the West for their commutes. Motorists should also consider utilizing Sturgis Road, Camino Del Sol, and Gonzales Road for their eastbound and westbound commutes and should avoid using Rice Avenue and Fifth Street during this period. Traffic officers will be on scene for traffic control.
