Multiple Vandalism Arrests

Incident: 594 PC - Multiple Vandalism Arrests

Location: East Ventura

Date/Time Occurred: 12-3-12 between 0100 hrs and 0200 hrs. Officer(s) Involved: Patrol

Victim(s): Numerous

Suspect(s): John Peters, 18 yrs; Roy Milbrandt, 18 yrs; Trevor Bright, 18 yrs (All Ventura Residents)

On 12-3-12 at about 0130 hrs, officers responded to the 200 block of Lakewood regarding a possible prowler seen in the driveway. The victim scared the prowler away, however saw the vehicle the suspect got into and drove away in. Moments later, while officers were handling the prowler call, other units were dispatched to the 7500 block of Loma Vista regarding subjects throwing rocks at parked cars from a vehicle. A similar suspect vehicle description was provided.

As units were responding to the Loma Vista call, one of the units spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle. The officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and contacted three occupants.

During their investigation, officers were able to determine the suspects had been driving around the east end of Ventura throwing rocks at parked vehicles and vandalizing Christmas lights and decorations that were displayed in front yards. There were a total of five different vandalism victims, however, it is believed there may be more victims that weren't discovered during the night.

John Peters, Roy Milbrandt, and Trevor Bright, all 18 years old and Ventura residents, were booked into Ventura County Jail for 594 PC - Vandalism.

The Ventura Police Department is asking anyone who discovers any type of vandalism to their vehicle or Christmas decorations to promptly report the crime.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing. Anyone with information related to this crime is urged to call the Ventura Police Department at 339-4343, or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. If your information leads to an arrest, you could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.
