Narrative: Ventura City Fire units were dispatched to a report of a broken water line in an apartment
building at the address listed above. The first arriving Engine Company reported a broken water line
inside an apartment bathroom on the second floor of the complex and three inches of standing water
on the first floor and second floors. The water affected a total of eight apartment units.
Firefighters shut down the water supply to the building and stopped the flow of water. Pumps were
brought to both floors of the structure and used to pump the water out of the building. Firefighters
contacted the building management to coordinate repairs and further clean up and remained on scene
assisting residents with water removal in individual apartments.
