No Trace of the Orange Trace

The scattered oranges that lay along the Ojai-Ventura bike path are gone. The "Orange Trace" signs that described the sculpture is still there, but the scattered oranges are not. It looks like a professional removal job rather than vandalism.

Does anybody have information about their removal. I hope it's just a face lift because they were beautiful landmark along the trail.
