Narrative: On 11-29-12 at approximately 0514 am, alert neighbors in the 8100 block of Calaveras
Street, interrupted a residential burglary in progress and called the Ventura Police Department
Command Center. They were able to get a description of the vehicle fleeing the scene and a
responding patrol officer located a vehicle matching the description driving in the area and contacted
the driver of the vehicle in the 8200 block of Visalia. The alert patrol officer detained the driver and
conducted an investigation, which revealed the vehicle was a reported stolen vehicle out of Oxnard.
The driver was eventually identified after initially giving a false name and arrested.
The suspect was arrested and booked at Ventura County Jail for the vehicle theft and providing
false information to a police officer. The property from the residential burglary was recovered a short
distance from the residence. No one was injured as a result of this incident.
