Richard Sentate Talk and Tour
Event: Thirteen Ventura Ghosts You Can Meet! A Tour and Talk by Richard Senate Date: July 31st-- Friday Time: 7 to 9 PM Place: Bank of Books, Bookshop, 748 E. Main Street, Ventura. Fee: $5 per person Ventura is a very haunted place and though many of her phantoms are unknown, some have been identified and continue to be seen. This unique tour by historian, author and ghost expert, Richard Senate will bring to life 13 of the most well-known specters that are rumored to haunt the city. It is a colorful cast of characters from the dedicated padre of Fray Jose Senan at the old Mission he built to the playful lady of the night Sylvia who haunts a Ventura Hotel. It even includes a vengeful bandit named Lucas Garcia, and the pipe smoking ghost of Dr. Bard as well the dim spirit of Elizabeth “Ma” Duncan said to walk Ventura's City Hall (formerly the County Court House). This tour will outline when these ghosts and others have been seen and experienced over the years as well as visit some of the locations where they can be found. Who knows, maybe we will meet one of them? Do bring a camera. Mr. Senate will be available to answer questions and sign books.
