I really don't understand why Edhat staff allows this kind of press release to be posted here without any explanation. I mean, who posted this? KSBY? The schools? Law Enforcement? Furthermore, what kind of "news" story fails to get ANY details about exactly where the money is to be spent. (Folks, don't be surprised if you someday find out that 95% of this money went to pay for the Sheriff's new dreamboat to chase imaginary pangas, and the other 5% went to DARE programs to "keep our kids off drugs" - because, yes, it's ALL for the children!)

When I was in a coma many years ago 38 Years ago as I crossed over I saw the Golden Gate at night. It looked kinda like your pictures I hope my time is not yet come. Beautiful pictures.

I believe Botanic will be closed. What a lame rule Mission Cyn Assoc. had implemented. It does nothing for public safety. It only helps MCA feel like they can control parking.Lame

Just wondering if anyone else encountered an issue yesterday when turning left from Los Carneros (leaving UCSB) onto Hollister? I was in one of the *two* left hand turn lanes, and when I turned, one of the lanes I was going into was completely blocked off. There was no notice or signs beforehand. So while in the intersection, about to smash into the 'closed lane' sign, I had to jump into the other left-hand turn lane. It was very poorly planned and could have caused an accident. You can't just close down a lane that people are *turning into*. They should've shut down the left-turn lane on Los Carneros. This was during the lunch hour yesterday, by the way...next to all the Deckers construction.

562 gave you good advice. Go on eBay and see at what price similar pieces are listed. This piece looks like it may need a tiny bit of TLC, such as shoring up in the middle. If it is comfortable, you will get more for it---and be sure to mention that in any ad. No rips/tears? Smells okay? No mold or mildew? You could always take a photo of it and show it to Jay (Jim? I always forget his first name!) Main at Main Antiques. He's an honest man and will let you know if you should sell it or donate it. It has been my experience that people are still buying furniture, even when other things aren't selling.
